Hi,

I bought a new router:   TP-Link Archer c5 ac1200
The router was configured easily, and works fine with all my wireless devices.

But, cannot make my DAP-1522 successfully connect to Internet through it.    I've tried configuring it number of times, restarted my modem, and routers, in different sequences.

I'm able to go through the configuration just fine.   When I look up for my device, it finds both my 2.4ghz and 5ghz network from my new router.  I can select them.  But, it does not give me access to Internet.   (NOTE:  I *did* set my IP back to Dynamic after I configured it.)

Anyone tried the same?
Any chance the DAP-1522 does not support "ac" ?

I'm running Windows 10
Was working fine when I was using my old D-Link DIR-628 modem

Thanks!

What wireless modes do you have set on the main host router?

I believe the 1522 only supports N mode on 2.4Ghz.

Hi
It supports N on both 2.4 and 5ghz.  I believe it handles it automatic by my DAP-1522, no?  If anything, I could force to only use 2.4 (which does not support AC).  I believe I tried, might have been greyed out....

Tonight Ill try configuring my DAP-152 through a different computer.  See if it'd make a difference....  :/

The DAP handles either 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz, however not both at the same time. As a test, set the main host routers WiFi WPA security settings to disable on either radio. Set single mode N on the main host router. Then try to connect the DAP to the main host routers WiFi. Does it connect then? Re-enable WPA on the main host router after testing.

What FW version is loaded on the 1522?

No, the 1522 does not support AC modes.
