Hi Guys,
I have two problems with my brand new (and very nifty) DCS-5635 Camera:
WIRELESS SETUP
I cannot get this set up correctly. Whatever I do, nothing works.
I have a Dlink DIR-855 router:
Tried to make the wireless network on the DIR-855 (both 5 Ghz and 2.4Ghz) visible/non-visible.
No Encryption, then Wep, then WPA followed by WPA2.
Regardless of these set ups, I cannot see my wireless network (SSID) when scanning. I can see 3-5 others SSID's (I live in an appartment building). I even tried to set the camera 1-2 meter away from the DIR-855 with no objejts at all in line of sight, but still nothing...
I use DHCP wth a reserved IP in the DIR-855.
Wired setup works fine.
SD CARD
I put in (and formattet) a Mirco SDHC card and judging from the "SD Card" section under the "SETUP" link, recording via the Motion detection option is being made. I can see the "Used" count going up/"Free" going down when hitting "refresh", but no files are visible on the "SD Card" overview page. It remains empty even though counters says otherwise.
I am out of ideas.. Any help is highly appreciated!!

Update:
fixed the SD CARD issue...
Apparently IE explorer 9 messed it up....clicking on "Compatibility View" did the trick.

I am desperately bumping the question re. the wireless connection...
Does anybody have a clue?
thanks! :)

I was unable to connect my DCS-5635 to my wireless network when the SSID wasn't broadcast by the router but as soon as I changed this all was well. I'm using WPA2 PSK (AES) security.
The fact the your camera can see other networks indicates a problem with your router broadcasting the SSID. Have you tried forcing the router to use a different channel?
It's ironic that you've got a d-link router and having compatability issues. Do you have access to another router?

Must be DCS-5635 specific. With my bunch of 920's I can connect to a non-SSID-broadcasting router, both D-Link and non D-Link.

Guys
Thank you for your input. I more or less gave up trying to fix this, and that is why I haven't checked this forum for a while.
My Dlink DIR-855 is broadcasting SSIDs and security is WPA2 PASK (AES)
But I will try with another router... thanks
