Are you doing a factory reset, load FW, factory reset and setting up from scratch? Funny I'm not seeing all these issues.

I did a 30/30/30 reset and I still have the problems I listed.  Actually twice.  The first time I tried to load the saved config file and it didn't work, the second time I manually did the configuration.

I'm wondering if we need to give SB some time to adjust and get in to the groove.

One thing I thought about, when I loaded mine is that I only had one wired device connected for the FW update and letting the router sit for about 5-10 minutes by itself with out any other devices connected save the one PC. I feel that doing this process and letting the router and SB complete it's thing, seem to help. Then after about 10 minutes, start to reconnect everything else. We may need to give it 12 hours to settle in.

I know I need to go back and test SB out again since I found that the initial detected speeds were lower than expected. So we maybe seeing some initial SB set up and update processes going on behind the scenes out of the gate after FW is loaded that needs to fully complete and giving some time to the router may be all thats needed.

Keep us posted on your experiences please.

Well, after 2+ hours of messing around with it, then just giving up and coming back to it 8 hours later... Whatever the issue was, it righted itself.

Speeds are back to normal, and it looks like my original issues with speeds (here, and here) have been fixed.

Furry - I followed your steps to the letter. Three times. Each time the same result. Normal speeds before initial setup was completed, then slowed speeds once initial setup was completed. Normal speeds at all times on 1.11b03.

I'm fairly sure it has to do with Streamboost, and it's initial configuration, but as you can see above whatever time it took cleared almost everything up.

If I feel like messing around with it again tonight, I might try it again to replicate. But to be honest, it's working mostly great right now, and I don't want to take that risk.

The 3x30 process is not needed for this so please don't use this process, just factory reset using the UI, load FW with IE or FF with any security browser add-ons and PC security SW temporarily disabled, then factory reset once more and set up from scratch. I'd give it about 12 hours for SB to do it's thing, update as necessary and settle in. Try waiting 10 minutes with only 1 wired PC connected after you load FW for SB and ABE to complete it's testing. Then connect all other devices.

Streamboost normally updates on Sunday Wednesday or Friday.
At least when "opted in"
I'm going to give sb about a week before I reset it and see what happens.
I spent 10hrs tinkering with it.
An I tried setting up different ways.
Still duplicate items mirroring each other.
One is active the other is not.
On the one that's not the Mac matches except the first 2 numbers/letters.
For me sb is the only thing acting funny.
I wanna add that I like the new look.
Adding the additional info to the network page is a plus!

Can you post a picture of this "duplicate" item?

Is this only happening with the Android or with other devices as well?

Is this seen in a different browser like Opera or FF as well? What browser are you using in these pics?:

Not sure if this is SB related or not. I haven't seen this issue with my router. I'll have a look again.  ::)

Would you have a look in IE and Opera please and see if the dupes are still seen. What version of FF are you using? Any browser add-ons enabled?

Only thing I can think of would be to shut everything OFF accept for 1 wired PC.
Factory reset.
Reload FW code.
Factory reset and set up from scratch. Give 10 mins for the router to test and settle. Go do something can come back.
Check speeds and such with the wired PC. Make any adjustments if needed.
Turn on one device and Reserve the IP address and check for dupes. If none, turn on next device and do same process. Graduate adding devcies and check for dupes along the way.

Ok I can try re-installing FW again. One issue though the way my place is i can't have the pc and modem connected at the same time.
My router is in the living room my pc is in the bedroom. I use the bedroom tv for my pc as i don't have a screen.
I have to move the router to the bedroom install the FW set it up and then take it back to the living room to connect it to the modem.

If I do it that way again could that cause an issue?
I really have no choice but to go that route.
Any advice.
Also what about FF plugins should I turn them off too.
All addons are off.

No thats find, just download the FW first to the PC, I actually prefer loaded FW with out the modem connected. Just do this, when you do the last factory reset, power off the router after it comes back to ready. Then go and place the router back in it's spot. Or you place the router back in it's spot after the FW is applied and the router comes back to ready, Then do the factory reset then. Just make sure that ALL other devices are turned OFF or disconnected from the router while you factory reset and set up from scratch and let the router settle for about 10 mins. I'd power OFF the modem while you do the update, then power back on after place the router, then power ON the router.
