I have installed it, but no special changes noticed... ???
-
Yeah I haven't notice a diffence...
Just have to wait till D-Link UK FTP host the firmware with the change-log, seems like it just a stable build from Patch 1-3.
-
is the second way, all working fine, bt and specially the wlan N ... for my mediapalyer... ;)
-
With this WW release, is NA release around the corner?

The new firmware is only 9.90 MB in size. It seems to be corrupted.. :-\
-
Yup it look corrupted, as the firmware is meant to be 12MB. Seems like a lazy upload....
-
Fortunately, it's easy to downgrade the firmware back to 2.00. ;)
Edit: ftp://ftp.dlink.pl/dir/dir-685/driver_software/DIR-685_fw_revA_2-01B02_all_en_20110125.zip
Another corrupt file..

There is a new version out 2.01b03 timestamped Tue 15 Feb 2011 on the russian D-Link site ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-685/Firmware/beta/
Unfortunately it still has the loss of encryption bug dropping the Wifi to un-encrypted every so often...
EDIT: And, amazingly this boards software does not handle FTP URLs but prefixes them with "http", so removed hyperlink altogether, please copy and past into browser instead.... jeeez

downloading, did you give it a try?
-
Hi, stukka!
I'm currently using firmware 2.01b03.
I discovered a 512 Kbps upload speed limitation. :o
Have you experienced something similar, and do you perhaps know what is causing this?
-
hi, i am downloading and will give a try tomorrow

I have installed this firmware tonight, I have no problems with upload speed limitation and not really see a change. If I come across something then I post it here of course :)

And?
Greetz marcel.
-
everything is ok, nothing to report...
-
But you are not using wifi, right? If you are, are you then using WPA/WPA2 mode, with PSK and both Cipher modes? That is my setup and which is constantly failing and dropping back to un-encrypted.

who said that?
i am using wifi with wpa/2 with no problem and it does not change alone...
-
Interesting, do you have any static DHCP mappings? I saw some report that the static DHCP table was causing problems.
Cheers

in november 2011 a new beta firmware was issued.
i am testing, so far no big changes....
Hopefully, my NTP bug will be fixed. For NA, PST is listed incorrectly on the display clock. I have to set my time to "Mountain Time" for the time to display correctly. (DST enabled now as it's DST, HW: A1, FW 2.00NA). Also, I would like to set my own NTP server, and this one doesn't allow it.
-
There isn't Automatic Time and Date Configuration under Tools and Time?
There was this option under v1.00 FW.
Can you post a screen capture of the Time option settings?
