DGS-1210-52 can't ping until I reboot.
« on: January 19, 2017, 12:05:14 PM »

Hi I have bought this smart switch less than a year ago. Most of the time I don't have any problem. But this is the second time this happens to me.
I realize I can't connect to the web interface. So I try to ping it and I have no reply.

I have about more than 20 ports in use and every machines have no problem communicating through the d-link switch.

But the web interface looks like it is sleeping and won't wake up.

The only way I can have the switch respond is to unplug the power and replug it.

Now I would like to know if there is another way to fix that issue. Because, I have to wait until the business closes and everyone is off the network to unplug the switch and it is very annoying.

I have a second d-link smart switch which does not have that problem.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Thanks for the reply. Would you be kind and direct me to a list of support phone numbers URL? I am in Canada.
