DIR-625 A1 Firmware 1.09 won't connect to PS3 on WPA

Playstation 3 finds SSID with 100% signal strength and connects successfully when security mode is off on the router but won't connect with WPA enabled and I've typed the password over and over again - on PS3 you cannot see what is being typed on the password field, instead of letters, you get asterisks  :(

Why is PS3 having problems connecting on wifi by simply enabling WPA? I don't want to switch off security on the router and I need wifi to work with PS3. MAC is disabled btw.
