Remounting ext. USB HD after reboot
« on: October 18, 2011, 02:54:09 PM »

I've set up a cron job to backup my data to an external USB hard drive, which is more or less permanently attached to the USB port of the DNS-320.

But after a reboot, or a power failure, the USB drive does not get remounted unless I physically unplug and re-plug it into the port. In fact, according to fdisk, the device doesn't even get detected.

Is there a way to force it to hotplug from the command line? Then I could drop a script into ffp's start directory to make it happen automatically every reboot.
