New 2210 - no IR at all
« on: April 03, 2015, 12:17:19 PM »

Just received a new DCS 2210 POE camera.  Plugged it in, went through the settings, upgraded the firmware to 1.22 but the IR isn't working at all.

I was trying to use it on POE and have since moved to the adapter and still no luck.  Gone through all the settings and cannot see anything set incorrectly.

Don't know what else to try except returning it

Anyone have any thoughts?  I'd love to talk to D-link support but paying for support on a day-0 device is beyond ridiculous.

  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded?
  • What region are you located?

if this is a new camera, phone support should be free usually...

Did you try to contact D-Link support already?

The unit maybe faulty and just needs to be replaced...Ask for an RMA.

Have you logged into the f/w page?

Advanced -> ICR & IR ->

There are options there, you might be on "OFF".

IR LIGHT

IR Light Control
 Off
 On
 Sync. With ICR
 Schedule
  IR Light Control On(24hr)

Thanks for the info. The user hasn't been back since this posted this a year ago. I hope your info will be good for any future users though.  ;)

I presume either Mr N has this resolved or has moved on.  ::)
