My main COVR 2202 unit is working fine, but the remote unit cannot be connected -- it shows a red COVR logo light as soon as I power it up. I have left it turned off for as long as overnight, and still, when I power it up, the light turns on a solid (not blinking) red and stays red.

What's going on?

• What region are you located?

Does a factory reset change anything on the B point?
Possible that the B point is bad.
Is this a new system?
I'd contact D-Link support for help and information about this. Might ask for an RMA.

Latest firmware, and US region.

This is a refurb unit that Dlink sent me to replace a defective unit. That was about 6 weeks ago.

I wrote to Dlink via the Web contact form three days ago, but so far no response.

I can try a factory reset -- how do I manage that without any Web interface?

Need a phone or pad with D-Link WiFi app installed on it to get the A point reconfigured. Ya, I know. I don't like the way D-Link removed ethernet web page setup. 

You might get on there online chat and see if you can get some more help on this...

Well, that's the problem. I can connect to the main COVR unit, which is working fine, but the satellite unit, with the steady red light, doesn't appear in the Dlink app on my phone.

Holding the recessed "reset" button while turning the unit on gives me a BLINKING red  logo light. Progress?

But the second unit still doesn't appear in the Dlink app.

So I'm wondering if the unit is hosed.

Try using the factory reset button on the B Unit and then hooking the B unit to the A unit with an ethernet cable and power it on,  It should get its configuration from the A unit this way.

That was a great idea -- I never heard of that trick -- but it did no good. The light just remains flashing red on the B unit.

I'd contact D-Link support and ask them for help on this. Seems like the B point has failed.
