Title: Camera Network
Post by: RJD99 on May 09, 2017, 01:13:39 PM
I have 3 cameras.  I have 2 cameras  on one SSID wifi network router with the Ethernet connected DNR-202L and one camera on another SSID network.  My wifi networks all use the same cable modem.  question is: How can I get all three cameras recording in the DNR-202L.   It almost looks like the cameras must be on the same router as the DNR-202L?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
Make sure call cameras are using a wireless network that allows communication with in the entire network or would need to make sure all cameras are on the same network/subnet as the DNR.

You have to connect the routers together.
Main one might be 192.168.1.1 off of your cable modem.
The next router works be 192.168.2.1 and off of your first router.

The Dnr needs connected to router 2.  You should be able to see everything at the Dnr using 192.168.1.xxx and 192.168.2.xxx.
