Title: DIR-505 in repeater mode
Post by: danymora131 on April 11, 2013, 08:16:07 AM
I want to change the name of my repeater to be different from the wireless router because it won't show up in on my Apple TV. If I change the SSID within the wireless setup, it won't connect to the internet. Where is the option to use Extender with a different name than the router. I read in a post that it is possible to uncheck the box, but where is it? thanks

In repeater mode it only uses the same SSID name from what it connects to from the main host WiFi. I presume the same would be the same for extending. If you ran the 505 in AP or hotspot, this could be changed and then you can change the SSID name and PW.

You might check the user manual to see where the options are at.
