Title: Ball joint camera stand
Post by: WaldoNJ on July 06, 2011, 07:09:18 AM
I need to tilt my DCS-932L downward further than is possible with the included ball-joint stand.  I understand I can adjust the position if I were to mount the stand on the wall or ceiling, but I would prefer not to do so.  Does anyone have any ideas of a replacement stand that that would work with this camera that would allow a deep tilt downward (from a counter to focus on a pet bed?

Here's a simple, low-tech solution.  Cut the top of a small 2"x4" wood block on a slant (i.e. wedge shape) and mount the camera on the slanted surface. This will provide you with the greater angle you're looking for.

The wood should be heavy enough to support the weight of the leaning camera.
