IPSEC VPN
« on: June 08, 2009, 03:25:39 AM »

I am about to buy new router for home. I would like to connect it with perm vpn connection with my router (FortiGate 50B) at work (i am network admin there). I was wondering if DIR-855 is able to setup IPSEC IKE perm connection so i can natively jump to work network without using external vpn software?

Is DIR-855 capable of doing that?

No, the DIR-855 is loaded with home class premium features, anything that does IPsec is going to be a business class device that will have few if any of the creature comforts of the DIR-855.

I understand. Althought for a guy like me who likes his top home features and would like to make his home office connected to work this would be perfect addition (and i guess not that hard to add).
