It doesn't make any sense to have to manually autorefresh everytime a new file is added to the multimedia server. For people who actually use it to store massive amounts of audio/video/pics it becomes a major pain the A** to have to wait an hour or more just because you want to have 2 items available on the server to be read by the media player (dsm-510).

Even if autorefresh isn't an option why not create a db that doesn't need to be recreated everytime it is refreshed? In other words a refresh that takes the existing file and adds the new content so that it becomes available for the network media player to see.
