h.264 video output

Hi, May I know how is the h.264 video quality output ?
Mine is very choppy, out of frames, missing large frames, muted and sometimes comes with large patches of grey.

Is it due to corruption ? Slow bandwidth ?

What codec and player are recommended ? I may be using the wrong ones.

I got the below from dlink support :
Please try to use the VLC player for playback;

www.vlc.org

Please take note that your NB or PC CPU and AntiVirus program running at back groud can  cause this problem also.
