Was this post to declare a problem, or state that you got it working? I am new to the camera forums, so forgive me if I am missing something.

I'm not sure if it is a bug or a feature. .

I've only seen it on the new 960l.  I think it's cool feature,but some how doubt it's really a feature.  ???

I don't think my other older dlink cams do this.   So definitely curious if others are  able to reproduce with their 960l/2630l.

Seems to be a feature to me. As per specs:

Night Vision – See up to 16 feet in complete darkness with built-in IR LEDs.

Cool find either way. Can you see through clothing?  ;D
