Hard drive goes to "Degraded" status after "Restart"
« on: June 01, 2009, 07:25:59 PM »

Hardware Version : B1
Firmware : 1.08b
Software Version (Easy Search) : none

Hard Drive 1    SAMSUNG    HD103UJ    S13PJ1KQ212806    1000 G
Hard Drive 2    SAMSUNG    HD103UJ    S13PJ1KQ212804    1000 G

RAID1

Applications installed: Bittorrent Client

OS : Windows XP Professional
Browser :  Firefox 3.0.10

Problem Type : If the Bittorrent client is processing one or more downloads and a "Restart" of the NAS is initiated, one of the drives will go into a "Degraded" status.

The DNS-323 does not handle a combined configuration of Raid1 and Bittorrent client.  1.08 has not alleviated this issue whatsoever.  If you wish to do a restart, stop all downloads first.  Once the 323 is back up and running, you may resume your downloads.  AAaarrrgghhh!!!!!  I'll be looking at a QNAP I think.
