Mounting Drives/Volumes
« on: June 08, 2008, 08:03:54 PM »

What with multiple internal HDs, CD/DVD writers, externally attached USB drives, camers, mem sticks, and now a 3rd DNS323, I've run out of drive letters to attach the next 2 drive to.

I found a MS support document #307889 that explains how to mount a NTFS formatted drive as a folder name instead of a drive letter.  When I follow their instructions, I fail because the 4 currently attached DNS323 drives are not seen in the Disk Management panel.

Is there a way to assign folder names versus drive letters to drives/volumes?  Detailed how to would be appreciated if possible.

Thanks,

Jim
