I am trying to set up my 810L as a wireless AP. In order to do that, I am trying to change the IP address of the 810L to match the network of my Uverse gateway's built-in router (192.168.1.XXX). I have tried several different addresses (192.168.1.1, .10, .15, .25), but each time I try to access the 810L after changing the IP, the PC cannot find it. I end up having to reset the 810L and try again. I tried the steps outlined in Fuzzy's walkthrough below, but still no dice. For the record, the Uverse router is assigning DHCP addresses in the 192.168.1.64-192.168.1.253 range.
Am I missing something?

It appears that the router/DHCP does not want to give IP addresses other than default ones. So if you change the router IP - the DHCP wont work for some reason.
Setting the IP manually as static, works, but this is not an option when you have a lot of devices/clients connecting to the router.
