Title: Just upgraded to a new 868L and have QOS questions
Post by: stclarke on October 16, 2013, 01:08:32 PM
Hi, I just upgraded from an older dlink router to a new 868L ad I'm not getting the performance I had expected, so have a couple of questions as I'd like to try QOS settings.. so..

1) I have upgraded to the just released new firmware
2) according to what my PC displays, many other routers in my neighborhood are broadcasting at 300, my new 868L is broadcasting at 215 - not sure why
3) I'm on Bell Sympatico, connecting vie PPOE through a 2Wire DSL Modem

Basically, anything via Skype stutters and has poor video performance, and any video's such as YouTube constantly stall and re-buffer

I'd like to adjust and/or set the QOS for better performance, however, documentation here in the Tech support section is vague, and the on-line help through the unit is even worse.

Does anyone have any DETAILED info on how to set up all the detail within QOS ?  Or can walk me though it ?

Suggestions and links appreciated

Thanks in advance
