Sounds like time to call for support, it appears broken.

Well, the only suggestion I have is to reset it to factory defaults and see if it wakes up.  If not, you probably have a dead device on your hands.

That's why we do the factory reset, to see if the LAN interface can be restored. :)

I purchse my DN-313, completly new and have the same problem, the reset button do nothing, the hhd led is green , power is blue and network is blink.

i try the installation CD and unable to find the DNS-313, no ping, also i try SNMP and nothing

but USB works very fine,

there is some way to factory reset via USB???

I don't know if this is the correct solution but works for me.

1) don't use the CD, download the software from the dlink US page

2) use the DCC Dlink Click n Connect (must be at least the version 1.02)

3) download the new firmware from dlink.ru DNS-313_2008.12.07-1421__1.03b04v2
http://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/NAS/DNS-313/Firmware/DNS-313_A2_FW_v1.03/

4) modify the file firmware.ini in the line firmware= (when you download the DCC 1.02 you see this file) to point to the new firmware that you download from dlink.ru

[system]
firmware=DNS-313_2008.12.07-1421__1.03b04v2

now run the dcc

works for me using WXP sp3,

enjoy you NAS

and DLink, please fire someone, because the CD in the box is a piece of $#@#

Hello,  just one more thing you can check:  since a power cycle is what started the problem, if DNS323 is getting IP address via DHCP from your router, it may have been given a new IP address. If any of your computer has mapped the NAS with numeric IP address, it may result in you not able to 'see' the NAS on the network.
