I have firmware 1.8, but i keep having connectivity issues are there any other firmwares i can test to see if it will fix my problem? Any beta firmware?
Thanks
Dave

We suggest downgrading to the 1.7 firmware. 1.8 was removed because of poor performance.

how about this firmware? http://global.dlink.com.sg/site_downloads/Wireless/DGL-4100/Firmware/DGL-4100-v1.9b05.zip

That is not US code. We do not reccomend it's use whatsoever.
Installing this code is at your own discretion and D-Link can not be held responsible for damage or unwanted side effects caused through it's use.

ok so is there going to be any firmware updates for the U.S version?

No. They are going to leave the DGL-4100 owners in a lurch and not correct the v1.8 firmware to enhance the network performance b/c they are too damn busy making new products instead of supporting the ones folks already own.

Mine runs 1.7 just fine. Infact Dlink should repost 1.7 as 1.9 to get all the knuckle heads still using 1.8 to "upgrade"

Lycan, can you elaborate on what the performance issues are? I've been running v1.8 on my 4100 for over a year now without any problem. Throughput is stellar.

We saw an increased number of users with poor wan performance, so the code was dropped. If it works for you, that is great.

Woo thread necro.
I've been running the 1.8 firmware for almost 3 years and just now I find out about 'poor performance' issues. Awesome.
Jeff's question wasn't directly answered either.
