Wireless Problems
« on: February 07, 2013, 05:10:11 AM »

I just got my 932L installed and have it working well on the wired connection.  I am having issues getting the wireless setup.  I am using an Actiontec GT724WGR DSL Modem/Router.  All my other wireless devices work great on the network.  I am using WPAK security and the passcode works fine on my iPads and other wireless devices.  When I save the settings on the camera and pull the ethernet cable, all I get is the red light on the camera and it is not visible on the network.  When I plus the cable back in, it immediately is recognized on the network.  Are there any tricks to what else I can try to get wireless to work with the camera?  I have the latest firmware, v1.06.  Thanks!!

I'm having problems with wireless too.  I'm starting to think it has something to do with the WPA/WPA2 security.  I've seen vague references to the problem on the net but nothing specific.  I've noted where people downgrade their security and are able to connect but using WPA/WPA2 seems to encounter a hiccup.  Not sure if hiccup is with camera or the router.

Any insight others might have would be helpful.

Have you checked that you don't have blanks (spaces) or other special characters in your WPA passphrase?

I found some very elusive references to a fix.  I tried it and it worked.

I changed my router from "WAP/WPA2" --> "WPA/2" ONLY and things started to work.

I am using Linksys router.  Not sure which is the root cause...the camera or the router but gonig to WPA/2 only solved my problem.

Dcs932l is working with a dir-826l router
worked perfect with wireless till 2 weeks ago and stopped.
setup does not find my ssid (dir826l) but it shows all my neighbours.
manual introducing data of ssid gives: cannot save data
Wired workes without any problem
reset 100 times
upgraded firmware
tried all the security settings suggested
out of ideas, please help

I fixed min
It turned out tobe if you have upgraded to the new firmware 1.06 you can only change passwords/wireless etc with the latest setup programme.
Download the latest set up software and run that . it then lets you change things in 1.06

Used the new installation software but no success.
Wireless seems to go ok till the choice of the ssid.
All the neighbours are there but not the ssid from the dir926l

Dir926L works because 3 more wireless tools are connected.
