Post by: soso2565 on May 05, 2011, 07:12:28 AM
Hello guy's ,

I know there a lot of threads on antenna for the DIR-825 but my question is ....does any antenna RP SMA are compatible with this router ?

like this one ( http://cgi.ebay.ca/2-4GHz-13dbi-wireless-Gain-Antenna-WI-FI-AP-Router-/330547095413?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf6246775 (http://cgi.ebay.ca/2-4GHz-13dbi-wireless-Gain-Antenna-WI-FI-AP-Router-/330547095413?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf6246775)

or the DIR-825 need a specific antenna

thank you all...

I think you can use just about any.
There was a guy who posted that he bought 3 of these for a DGL-4500 and worked great for him:

It should be noted that both of those antennas appear to only offer a boost on the 2.4Ghz network.  The DIR-825 router 5.0Ghz wireless network radio "might" not benefit from those antennas.

It was noted by the user at that had put this on a 5 Ghz router and didnt' see any issues when using them on the 5Ghz range.  ;)
