Non Broadcom DSL Routers
« on: October 02, 2012, 01:33:27 AM »

Do D-Link make any non-Broadcom based DSL modem/routers ?

I ask because it has come to light there was a massive hack against millions of users in Brazil using an exploit in Broadcom based DSL devices. It does not matter how strong a password you have the hack allows them access to your DSL device remotely where they change your DNS servers redirecting your browser to servers with malware.

I have an older DSL-2740B which is Broadcom based so I frankly don't feel secure with such a device.

Are you located in Brazil? What region are you located?

I would contact D-Link directly and ask about this. There hasn't been any reports of these occurrences in the U.S. as of yet.
