Hello guys,
I am having a problem with my dir-809 router. I can't connect my internet by phone, just by notebook. However, if I remove the internet cable from my DIR-809, my phone can access the router, but not the internet connection (sure). With the internet cable, I can access my ssid only by notebook.
My hardware version is A2, firmware 1.11.
My connection is PPoE.
I need help.

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
What phone are you using to try to connect to the DIR router?
Are you having the phone connect to the same SSID and PW configured on the DIR router?

My hardware version is: A2.
Firmware 1.09
I'm living in Brazil.
My ISP Service is Cable.
I don't use modem, only this router.
I'm tryint to connect by Motorola MOTO G 5.
Yes, for the last question.

This model router had to be connected to a MODEM or ethernet provided ISP services to connect to the internet:

but I accessed internet before...using this router and I never used modem ...

You sure? The router needs input from a ISP service via modem or Ethernet on it's WAN port for it to work.
-
Yes, I'm absolutely sure in relation to this trouble.

You might see if the model router has a repeater mode. Other than this, this router needs a wired RJ45 connection to it's WAN port from a ISP service port or a ISP Modem to give Internet access.
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.

We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
