Certificate requirement on admin setup page
« on: October 06, 2009, 01:48:21 PM »

Hi there,

Using beta firmware 1.20_44 I'm trying to reset my admin password and change my remote management ip address/port number but when clicking on save settings it DEMANDS to have a certificate setting below for SSL VPN even though its disabled. I don't really need a certificate for it so is there any way around this??

I have the same problem, I too don't need any certificate.
Please let me know if you find the solution.
Thank you

There is a DLINK Demo certificate available to remedy this problem.  At present working with Tech support to get a copy of the file.  I dont understand why they wont provide it withe Beta firmware ugrade..it would make life a lot easier.

Ok,  the router will require a factory reset.  Unfortunately you'll have to reset the router after any firmware updates to reaquire the onboard certificate at least with the Beta firmware.  This also works to clear features that appear inoperative.

The DLink Demo Certificate will display as the local/private cert.
