Ok, mines not set up with the B Point, just the A point.  ;)

Hoping by Monday, we'll see something or not.  ::)

I stand corrected a bit.

It is possible that yesterday before I noticed that the guest wifi has reappeared, I had switched the access point B on and off while I was messing around with the wire cabling - I had forgotten my Powerline actually.

So this morning, with still no sign of the dlink-guess, I switched by accees point B off and on. The guest wifi came out right away. NOK.
I switched it off and on again, and I could not see it. NOK
I again switched it off and on, and I could still see it. NOK.
I remove the backhaul from the port 2, power it off and on, and I could NOT see it. OK this time.
I put back the backhaul in the port 2, power it off and on, and I could see it. NOK.
I put back the backhaul in the port 1, power it off and on, and I could see it. NOK.
I removed the backhaul, power it off and on, plugged the backhaul after the AP had power on, and I still could NOT see it. OK so far.

To make a long story short, the guest network may came out, or not, right way after a power switch. This seems to be conditioned by the backhaul wiring at boot time.

Good to hear.
I to am not seeing Guest Network since putting the 2202 A point online yesterday, however looking at my wifi analyzer, I believe the 2.4Ghz Guest Network maybe enabled however the broadcast SSID is just hidden.

As you look at my capture, the COVR2202 SSID name is in GRAY color on the analyzer, However look at the light GREEN signal that's matching or close to matching the GRAY signal.

The short signal capture is of me downstairs from where the 2202 is. I then walked up near the 2202 and the GREEN signal bar followed.
I don't see a shadow signal bar on the 5Ghz radio. I presume Guest Network only support 2.4Ghz only.

I would think if guest network was disabled that the radio for this feature would be turned OFF and not just hiding the SSID broadcast name.  ::)

Great tool. Looking at it now, I think that
- The dlink-guest only works in the 2.4 frequency indeed
- Instead, I still see the 2 hidden bssid, whenever dlink-guest is active or not. I am guessing this is for the tri-band mechanism.

Note that in my case, I see the guest wifi only started from my 'B' access point, I never saw it active from my main one 'A'.

Ya been using this tool for a while now. Handy.

Ya, D-Link confirmed the guest network signal is hidden when disabled.

I'll connect up my B point and see if it does anything different.

Ok, my B point is up and running wirelessly. IF I don't see anything by tomorrow, i'll wire connect it.

Double-checking this again.

When the guest wifi is not active, I see 8 BSSID, basically 4 per Access Point, so 2 per Frequency, one visible, one hidden.
      The visible are EC.xx.xx.xx.xx.6x. I have 4.
      The hidden are F2.xx.xx.xx.xx.6x. I have 4.

When I activate the guest wifi (so restarting the second access point with the backhaul ON), I see 2 additional WIFI, one per frequency (basically my past statement was wrong).
F6.xx.xx.xx.xx.6x. I have 2, visibles. Broadcasted from my second AP (B).

They all appear more clearly in the networks tab. It looks to me that the guest wifi is not broadcasted hidden.

Well had a power outage this morning so couldn't test duration.

However looking at both points, I do see a hidden signal on both points. i presume this is the guest network that running all the time, just the SSID name is hidden.

What would be interesting to see if you enabled it, had a iphone connect to it, then disable the guest network, doe the iphone remain connected?

Also I don't see any hidden signals from the points on 5Ghz. Just the 2.4Ghz only.

You may not see all BSSID from the 'Analyze' tab that show the graphs, but you should find them all listed from the 'networks' tab. There are probably some limitation with the drawing of all.

Right. I think that the windows (free) version may be providing more complete information.

Below 2 out of the 4 hidden I see in the 5ghz range.

Can either of you connect to the guest network when it is disabled?

Well there is no option to activate/deactivate the guest with in bridge mode.

But yes when the guest wifi is 'on' in bridge mode, yes, I can connect to it and access the internet; it is fully functional.

There is a ticket for D-Link engineers submitted so I will let you know when they respond. They may need more information but hopefully they can replicate it and update the firmware.
