Stuck on firmware upgrade
« on: May 31, 2017, 12:51:38 PM »

I purchased this deviced but after the entire setup went through, the device is stuck on updating firmware. I keep trying to update it and wait but it never happens and it's still 1.23. Also I'm not able to access the plug - the switch seems disabled and I'm unable to do anything in the app.

Any help is appreciated.

What browser are you using? If any?
Try IE11 or FF. Be sure to clear any browser caches before updating FW or after.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

The problem happens on the iOS and the Android app.

It shows the w215 device after completion of setup but there's a message that say "You need to update the firmware" and the on/off switch is disabled so I'm unable to use the device at all.
