I am a century link subscriber. They provide a wireless router.
I bought a D-Link DIR-867, which is also a wireless router.
The century link router only services the century link boxes in my house, plus my media server.
I uplink the DIR-867 to the Century link. Everything works perfect, EXCEPT, email ports are blocked.
If I connect my android phone directly to my century link wireless, email works fine. This proves that century link router and century link service are not blocking my email ports (993/587)
If I connect my android phone directly to my DIR-867, the email ports are blocked.
I reset the router to factory settings, there is no port forwarding, no blocking of any kind that I can find. I checked every single setting in the router. I cannot find any reason why the email ports are blocked.
Any ideas why I cannot use email ports on my DIR-867??
