Title: SharePort (USB Port Sharing)

When it's configured as Network USB to share a hard drive...
- Does it care what kind or partition my shared hard drive has?
- Does it share the hard drive device blindly, without caring how it's partition or even if it's not partitioned?

The reason I'm asking is to understand if would be possible to share a drive with a MAC OS Extended Partition.

The best use for this device would be to share a drive used for Time Machine (backups).

Also the Mac version client will be made available to the 655 first, as it's shareport version will be updated in the 1.30 firmware.

Post by: smithpspfan on January 18, 2010, 08:29:36 PM: True Lycan but the fact is that this router comes with the Shareport on it. So you can use the router for gaming and/or for normal use. Maybe we want to hook up a printer that all our computers can print to. But still the fact is that everything should work on this router.
