Hello all.
I have a basic understanding of some router settings, port forwarding, DMZ, etc....
However I'm a little lost. I've started working from home, and needed to change from my DIR-615 to DIR-655 due to my company's VOIP requirements.
Upon switching routers, media streaming was immediately broken to my Xbox 360. None of the regular troubleshooting would solve the issue, until I eventually found the setting "Enable Multicast Streams", and it fixed my 360 issues. I'm not familiar with this setting and have never used it before.
Come Monday morning, I found that with this setting enabled, I cannot hear through the speaker of my handset. I can actually hear the dial-tone, but after a call connects (or on any incoming call) I cannot hear anything. The other end can hear me fine, however. When the option is unchecked, everything on the phone works fine.
I don't have a lot of details on my VOIP setup, so I realize you guys don't have a ton of info... but I was wondering if this is a common issue, and is there a workaround? Or is there maybe a way I can disable Multicast Streams during business hours? Or make an easy macro that enables/disables this feature when necessary?
I use streaming to my Xbox constantly, so it's quite an inconvenience. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Andy.
Edit: I should add that my phone and 360 are both WIRED connections.
