Foscam setup-port forward and DHCP questions
« on: March 05, 2015, 07:52:17 PM »

Hi all trying to get a pair of Foscam cameras to connect wirelessly and be viewed from outside home network.

I'm currently able to get them to sporadically connect wirelessly, and at one point had one viewable from my external IP.

I have TWC with an old Ubee modem they provided that is set in bridge mode. The modem has no port forwarding settings.

I'm unable to set up port forwarding so that my ports are viewable from can you see me.org

I'm also struggling to get dhcp reservations to get my cameras on the same IP they change everytime they power up or down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Additional info
Foscam cams seem to have separate hostnames when they connect wired or wirelessly. It adds a _1 for wireless (two different cameras one wire one wireless)
Sometimes I cannot access the wireless one thru the webpage despite seeing it in the router settings it seems to be random

I recommend that you phone contact your regional Foscam support office and ask for help and information regarding this.
Good Luck.
