DCS-2210 records events always at 7 fps
« on: May 11, 2012, 06:00:41 AM »

Hi Everybody

I can't make this camera to records events at 15 fps 720p H264
sometimes i could make it work for a few records but almost i got recorded events at 7 fps

Another thing it's in order to get wide viewing angle at 720p (same vieweing angle as 1080p)
i have to create a profile at 1080p

Does anyone with a dcs-2210/2230 have that kind of behavior ?
Thanks for reply

It Seems that beta firmware 1.00.Newrec4 resolved a lot of pbs about audio & video settings

Now all settings woks well with that firmware and multiple recorded events works better
(multiple pir events files can be viewed smoothly)

the only things who remain is that if i want a 720p wide angle i need to configure another video profile at 1080p
but in that case i got recorded events at only 7 fps and 1.5Mbits/s quality

I guess it's too much works for that camera (many profiles with high quality)

with firmware 1.00 i could got (but it was ramdom) 720p, wide angle, 14 fps, 3Mbits/s quality
(I still have some records with that quality)

My first thought about the slow frame rate was that perhaps the Internet connection is too slow for faster  frame rate.

And where can I find that beta firmware 1.00.Newrec4 firmware. Is it on one of those Italian or Russian ftp sites?

yes it's a firmware i got on ftp russian

I notice another things it's that the stream at http:\\XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX\video1.mjpg doesn't match the video profile 1 (mjpg instead H264 and 1.5Mbits/s quality)   (based on VLC)
but the rtsp :\\XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX\live1.sdp is ok

maybe that explain why many people have pbs with that camera and a NAS
