Title: Brand new DSR-250n total brick

Hello,

i'm now facing this issue second time so it cannot be only faulty unit etc.

I'm working for smallish AV company as an intregrator and AV programmer so i might know thing or two, but networking has always been bit hard for me.

Issue what I have here again is that our installer connected corp WAN to console port by accident and after that this device will not give any ip's. Hard reset button doesnt't do anything and COM port doesn't answer. Basically after this incorrect connection this device works only as a dummy switch w/o any logic.

I've tried to sniff these ports by using Wireshark and there is really not much to see. After bootin this device wireshark shows
 " 85   45.371241   WistronI_a2:8a:d7   Broadcast   ARP   42   Who has 169.254.88.141? Tell 0.0.0.0 " so this case i'm using DHCP and clearly i dont get ip.
 " 432   137.380956   WistronI_a2:8a:d7   Broadcast   ARP   42   Who has 192.168.10.2? Tell 0.0.0.0 " and here i'm using static IP for my PC.

Anyone know something that i dont know?

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.

We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
