Title: Want to Password Protect My Wifi
Post by: AngryUser11 on January 03, 2013, 12:43:07 PM
Hi.  I have used the WBR-1310 for about a year now without a password.  I recently moved and would like to include a password.  Please provide steps on how to do this on an Apple.  I am not the best with technology so simple steps are greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

You should be able to log into the routers web page by opening Safari and inputing 192.168.0.1

Default log in info for DLink routers are Admin with a blank password so just click the log in button.

Once on the routers web page, select Setup/Wiress settings.
Wireless Network Settings: Enter a fun name for SSID.

Find the Wireless Security Mode section. Select Enable WPA2 Enhanced.

Find the WPA2 section. Select Wireless Security Mode :
Set Cipher Type :   AUTO
Set PSK / EAP : PSK

Enter a password in the Passphrase section and confirm it.

The select Save Settings towards the top of the section to apply it.
