Usb connection lost
« on: July 15, 2014, 12:15:55 PM »

Hi,

I have bought this DiR505 2 weeks ago to use on holiday for viewing videos on Ipad. When using a usb stick on the DIR505 in hotspot mode, I can start playing video, but after a couple of minutes the video freezes and cannot be found anymore by the router. I have tried upgrading the firmware to 108  now, but it did not resolve the issue.
I first thought it was a network performance issue but since the usb stick cannot be detected anymore this cannot be it.
Oh yes, I use the DIR505 in standalone mode (no other network connections used).

Any ideas ?

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?

Does a different USB flash drive do the same thing?

Have you collected the data off the current drive, reformatted it cleanly then put the data back on it then reconnect...?
