Need help picking the right router for home usage.
« on: June 08, 2014, 01:16:45 AM »

Hi iam currently using dlink dir 600L router which is placed in the second floor of my house, while iam in the ground floor, the wifi signal is too weak but it connects at times and i get to use the internet. i have done a lot of searching on the internet for a correct router which can give me good reception in the ground floor too, many forums say that bu using a 300n router instead of 150n router you wont get higher coverage but only higher bandwidth, is that true?? please help me with the right model of dlink router. Thank you in advance. ??? ;D

Here is a list of routers for your region:
http://www.dlink.co.in/products/category/?cid=3

I would check here to make sure that the ChromeCast device is support on one of the D-Link routers:
https://support.google.com/chromecast/table/3477832?hl=en&ref_topic=3205565

This list is what Google has tested and doesn't mean that other routers wont work either.

I would recommend the DIR-826L at minimum or the DIR-868L for great range. I have both of these routers and they both work well and are great routers.
