Well i am guessing turning on AP randomly wasn't a good idea.
Maybe one has to setup the IP before hand or else you won't be able to connect to it;S

Can try giving the 600 a new Ip address on the LAN side and see.

You may need to to gain an IP address, unless you can find it by other means.

What do you mean "gain an IP Address"?

Find the IP address of the 600 so you can access it's web page.

Oh;P

But it's weird, shouldn't i be able to find it by disconnecting from the internet?
That way the only possible IP i can get should be from the Router (though i don't, cause no DHCP or something i guess?).

And it feels weird cause the IP should get picked up first in a tracert, but the IPs there can't be connected to.
It's like the router is completely bypassed, i could just as well plug it in the wall, could that be it?

The 600 maybe masking the IP address its getting from the main host router however the router is picking it up. If you had access to the main host routers client table list, you'd see it there. D-Link APs and bridges have a default .50 address for setting up the device, however when they are live and active on a router, then this address gets changed to a different DHCP Dynamic IP address. I don't know why so don't ask. All that needs to be done would be to look at the routers client table to see the new address. If you had access to the main host router.

Ah i see, but shouldn't i be able to use the .50 address when it's not connected to the internet then?

Sadly geting access to the main router is out of the question;(

Will do some more testing with tracert and netsniffing.

But i am to be able to access the router without changing my NIC ip right?
I should just be able to connect to the IP via a browser if i got the correct one?

If the 600 is set up for default address that way. I don't have this model so I can't say for sure. You'll have to give it a try.
If you test this, set a static IP address on the PC to 192.168.0.49 and 255.255.255.0 snm and test this out.

If i look at a screenshot i had before i set up the AP it just shows the normal "192.168.0.1" in the Status - Device Info.
Then the internet IP/DNS.
Subnet Mask is weird though, 255.255.255.192, but i guess that's some standard.

Tried what you said, tried connecting to 192.168.0.1/50 with that and other IPs i tried without success.

You'll need to factiry reset the 600 and go back to default settings and try that way.

You might try setting the AP mode again and don't connect the 600 to the router, just connect the PC to the 600s lan port while you have a static IP address on the PC and see if you can get to the .1 address or if the .50 works, Might see if tracert reveals anything here while in this configuraton.
