Title: Should I manually update my firmware?
Post by: joe7dust on May 02, 2020, 04:42:39 PM
I have A1 with 1.00NA fw and the auto fw check button tells me that I have the latest fw from 2010. However I've seen fw for this router as new as 1.34 ?? Looks like the automatic fw check doesn't actually work or something.

Anyway, I'm tempted to get another newer fw and flash it but I've seen several threads about bricked/unresponsive routers from doing this so I am hesistant. Also, I have not had any major issues with it was mainly just hoping to get some better pings.

Another curious thing, is that despite it saying I'm on fw 1.00NA I see I have several features already that supposedly were not added until 1.05
