Title: Traffic Control disabled ?
Post by: Serville on December 14, 2012, 11:15:38 AM
My DIR-600L  Hardware Rev. Ax.  Firmware Vers. 1.00
In Traffic Control , it seems the IP range form can not be used (greyed out).
The same thing when using DIR-600L emulator:

The IP range section is non-functional.

What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8 or 9, set compatibility mode and test again.

Possible that they are disabled due to a different option being enabled or disabled that these options depend on being either enabled or disabled. They should be usable. Is there any information regarding the use of these options in the user manual?

I have tried Opera, IE 8.0, Firefox 11.  Same thing.
I don't see any settings in there that could possibly prohibit a user to set IP Range in the Traffic Control section.
As for comparison,  I have the older DIR-600 with specialized firmware version from DLink for my country (Indonesia) that has the same Traffic Control option.  And I can set the IP range without a problem with exactly the same settings as DIR-600L.

The reason I need this section is because I'm using 4 Mbps cable connection, which I would like to divide into 2 computers, each with  a fair share of  2 Mbps max bandwidth.

You need to phone contact DLink support, level 2 or higher and ask about this. See if this is a configuration issue or a bug.

Please let us know what they say.

I solved the problem.  It's my own fault.
I didn't uncheck the "Automatic Distribute Bandwidth", so the traffic control rules becomes disabled.
I definitely didn't read careful enough every option there.
It's my bad.  My apology if I confuse everyone here.
