advanced settings
« on: October 26, 2012, 09:23:32 AM »

hi. when i try to enter advanced settings from my mydlink site i get this:
"There is a problem with this website's security certificate"
then i go "Continue to this website (not recommended). "
then i get a windows security box asking for user name and password.it also says the server ********** at dcs-932l requires a username and password. i enter admin plus my password but it will not work. any idea how to get into advanced settings?

the reason i want to get into advanced settings is because i am not happy with the picture quality and want to do some adjustments. very grainy. i am new to this camera but i would have thought that they had a better picture quality than i am getting. i have 4 cameras and they are all poor so i dont think its one bad camera.

Hello,
I get the same security message, but "admin" and my password work to get me into the advanced settings. Maybe try changing your password and then try to log into the advanced settings?

The first version of the software truncated the password (if longer than 8 characters) to 8 characters.  Try to type just the first 8 letters/numbers of the password and see if that works.  I understand this was fixed in later versions, but your password might still retain the 8 characters.

Hope this helps.
