D-Link network cameras in Night Mode use IR illuminators (red LEDs) to illuminate the camera field of view in the dark. The light emitted by the IR illuminators is invisible to the naked eye, but appear very bright through the network camera Live Feed view. Objects positioned too the camera IR illuminators may reflect the IR light, resulting in a very bright or washed out image. Moving objects further away will correct the image brightness.
