FTPS: Insecure certificate?
« on: January 23, 2022, 08:42:36 AM »

Hi! I just setup my nas at my friends house for offsite backup. I use FTPS, but when connecting using filezilla on my pc at home I get this:

Status:    Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response:    220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [privsep] [TLS] ----------
Response:    220-You are user number 1 of 10 allowed.
Response:    220-Local time is now 16:40. Server port: 3688.
Response:    220-IPv6 connections are also welcome on this server.
Response:    220 You will be disconnected after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Command:    AUTH TLS
Response:    234 AUTH TLS OK.
Status:    Initializing TLS...
Error:    A certificate in the chain was signed using an insecure algorithm
Error:    Received certificate chain could not be verified. Verification status is 2.
Status:    Connection attempt failed with "ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted".
Error:    Could not connect to server

How do I fix the insecure algorithm? Is it a bad/expired certificate?

Maybe the best thing to do is install fun_plug 0.7 and setup sftp?

Another thing with Funplug, what happens to funplug if the harddrive crash or you need to replace?

Installed fun_plug 07 instead, accessing it with SFTP now. But slow transfers, trying with 6gb file and Im at 3,5MiB/s
