Connectivity Issues
« on: March 16, 2008, 01:11:07 PM »

I bought this item about a month ago and everything was going smoothly, however until recently, everytime I restart my computer or shut down windows I am unable to connect again when windows starts back up. Firmware is already updated, and this just started happening yesterday. I am not sure why it would fault. Any thoughts?

Also, I do not have an ISP email/password so I am unable to install the program completely (however, the other computers on the network do not either and they're still able to connect, except for mine and my husbands). Is there any way I can get around that?

Is there PPPoE (dsl) software installed on your laptops?

Can you still log into the router (http://192.168.0.1)? If you factory reset the router does it start to work once again? Switch to Specify IP Address on your PC's internet protocol TCP/IP and ensure that you are not running any software firewalls as those would also interfere with the setup of the network.
  i. for IP type in 192.168.0.99
  ii. for subnet use 255.255.255.0
  iii. for gateway 192.168.0.1
iv. for preferred DNS server use 192.168.0.1
  v. for the secondary DNS server use 4.2.2.2
