Hi guys, looking for some help with this problem as i'm going crazy over here!

I have a VR1600v internet router. I have NBN. It works fine. It has a 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi which works just fine. Here are the settings (i've edited out ip addresses and things that i thought someone might be able to use to hack into my internet. I'm not super knowledgeable about some of these things)

Model: TP-Link VR1600v

WAN Interface Name:
ewan_pppoe
MAC Address: *********
IP Address: *********
Subnet Mask: **********
Default Gateway: *********
Primary DNS: 203.12.160.35
Secondary DNS: 203.12.160.36
Connection Type: PPPoE

2.4G Wireless:
Network Name (SSID): 2.4GHz Home
Wireless Radio: On
Mode: 802.11bgn mixed
Channel Width: Auto
Channel: Auto(3)
MAC Address:  ************

Network Name (SSID): 5GHz Home
Wireless Radio: On
Mode: 802.11a/n/ac mixed
Channel Width: Auto
Channel: Auto(149)
MAC Address: ***********

LAN:
DHCP is ON

My Powerline adaptor is actually the AV2 1000 Wi-Fi AC1200 Powerline starter kit (with the wifi antenae on the wifi extender)

Problem

When i plug in both the DHP 610, and the DHP 600 adaptors, then then on the ON switch, they both show the light showing they're receiving power. Tick.
I then press the simple connect buttons to connect the two, the Powerline LED turns solid green on both adaptors showing there's a powerline connection. Tick
The DHP 610 "network" light turns showing solid green showing that the network is ready (even though the GHP 600 is not yet connected to the router via a lan cable. Weird, but tick.
BUT THEN, when i finally plug the LAN cable into the "LAN1" port of the LP-Link VR1600v, and then into the DHP 600 - initially the LAN light on the GHP 600 lights up. Tick. I can briefly connect to the new Powerline extender networks for around about 60 seconds - but then all of a sudden everything just stops working. All the same lights are solid green - but the powerline network says "connected, no internet". Then if i try to connect to my regular old router internet, it just says "cannot connect to this network" - or it just gives me the spinning circle and "connection failed" error. I then need to switch off the powerline adaptors and reboot the modem to be able to connect to it again.

Troubleshooting
- tried resetting the powerline adaptor to factory defaults multiple times. No difference.
- tried moving the powerline adaptor to the powerpoint immediately next to it. No difference.
- tried moving powerline adaptors to other rooms. No difference.

Can anyone help me?

So the DHP600 should not be connected to any ethernet connection as I believe this is the remote PL that needs to be at the remote location while on same power circuit as the DHP610 that would be connected to the back of the host routers LAN port. It's the power wire connecting the 610 to the 600 at the remote location...
