different clients in 2,4GHz and 5GHz in same workgroup?
« on: November 16, 2008, 05:03:41 AM »

When using some PC in 2,4GHz and others in 5GHz frequency, will they be in the same network ("workgroup") anyway, so that they can communicate to each other?

I want to run my PC and XBOX in the 5GHz range and the NB (as it supports only 802.11g) in 2,4GHz. However I hope that the PC and NB will be still in the same network at the end, so that I can exchange data between them (like today as they are in the same "workgroup" in the same 802.11g network). Is this possible wih the DIR-855 and it's dualband feature?

thanks

Yes, even though they are connected to different bands, the network is the same.
