So I upgraded my FW to 1.07 Build 03.
After upgrading, like others have posted, my Wifi Speed dropped to less than 15mbps on avg (instead of 150 for 5ghz and 90 for 2.4ghz).
Now I am trying to revert back to 1.05 and the firmware upgrade page will not upgrade/load the firmware. A big red error states Upgrade Failed. I have tried upgrading on a different browser, laptop, desktop etc.
So then I tried entering Recovery Mode. It will not let me get into Recovery Mode. I've flashed hundreds of routers in the past 20 years.
I have tried different computers, different cables, but the recovery mode will not appear. Ofcourse I am following the Emergency Firmware Recovery steps by providing a static ip address, pressing the reset button while powering on the unit.
The Router is a DIR-859 Revision A2.
That firmware really should not have been made available on this forum since everyone who has tried it has had wifi speed issues. It makes this router useless. It really isn't right how horrible this firmware is.
What are my next steps, if anything, to revert back to 1.05? Is their no recovery tool like most routers have? I am really shocked there isn't.

I ask that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.

We find that online chat or phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

Try this to see if you can downgrade the router back to v1.05:
Emergency Recovery Mode

I am in Canada.
Just purchased the router last year.
Maybe I wasn't specific in my first post, but I have tried to downgrade both ways - Web Gui and "Emergency Recovery Mode"
I tried many different methods, different computers, cables, locations. This router has an issue with it not being able to downgrade the firmware.

Something that may not be supported. I would ask your regional support office about this...
