Title: DNR-202L - Transferring video off of DNR
Post by: tsuprano1 on February 16, 2014, 04:43:24 PM
Hey all,
Was just looking for an assist....How do you transfer video off of the recorder. I know I can likely just pull the hard drive, connect it directly to my computer and copy the files but I thought there might be a way directly through the DNR.

I was also wondering how I can access the files after they have been removed from the disk?

If all you want is a clip, then you can use the Cue-In\Cue-Out markers with the .avi export feature.
Otherwise, I think you do need to hook the hard drive up to your computer directly, using D-Link's HDD Viewer application to view and "Backup" the contents.
I haven't hooked a drive directly into my computer yet, so I'm not sure what format the videos are in.
