changed the router wan access pwd and now trying to test the dap i can't seem to log in with the default ip / dlinkap url access i have tried the bridge and ap switch setting on the dap with no luck after resetting the dap a couple of times with no luck .. any suggestions
-
what IP address are you using to connect to the DAP after factory resetting?
-
192.168.0.50 & http://DLINKAP i managed to fix this after several retries now trying to update the firmware from 1.31 to 1.40 but i keep getting a " wrong image file message" ..... any suggestions
-
are you updating to fix something or just updating because? Just curious here.
What HW version is your DAP?
Are you unpacking the file from the .zip that you downloaded first?
Also what browser are you using? If IE8 or 9 try using the compatibility mode or try a different browser like Opera or FF.

I see that the FW update to 1.40 has the fixes for SSID & WPS
DAP-1522 Firmware Release Note
Firmware: v1.40
Hardware: A1
Problems Resolved:
1. Fixed: SSID issue.
2. Fixed: WPS issue.
3. Fixed: Time setting issue.
Yes i extracted the DAP-1522 A1 FW 1.40b03_1.40b03.bin file from the ZIP, it is about 11.2 MB and have tried it using IE & FF
-
What FW version is currently loaded now? If an older one is loaded, and it's not next to 1.40, try loading the next version up from whats currently loaded and see if it loads, Might have to update till you get to the 1.40 version.
I would call up D-Link and ask, possible the .bin file is bad.
-
Guess the engineer doesn't have this firmware fix as a priority, i was assured that they would fix the BIN file within a week....:-(

I thought this file that was 11Mb was fixed already? ???

Sorry to revive such a old thread, but I'm having the same issue. I was able to log in yesterday to make some changes. Now I can't get in thru the browser with either method. Dap is still getting a connection to my devices both wired, and wireless so I'm not sure why it won't log in.

I've since fixed the problem after a few reboots. Thanks for the reply though.
-
Just reboots fixed it? Curious about that...
-
Yea I mean that's all I did was reboot it a couple of times until it allowed the web page to open from the ip address
-
Ok, was wondering. Hope it works well for you. Enjoy. ;)
